Raymond Dennis “Ray” Small, 66, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully on October 31st after a long battle with cancer. He was born on September 25, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York where he was raised in foster care and would later join the military. Years later, Raymond made Indiana a place he could call “home”. His taste in life was simple and uncomplicated and he was a man who had a flair for decorating and cooking. Through his journey with cancer Ray never complained, maintaining a brave and cheerful outlook on the future – even through countless radiation and chemotherapy treatments, X-rays, hospitalizations and pain; he continued to maintain an optimistic view on life. Ray touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. He will be forever loved and never forgotten by many.
